Transitions Optical is accepting applications for its 2027 Transitions Change Agent program. This peer-to-peer community brings together eye care professionals from the United States and Canada to share expertise, exchange ideas, and promote awareness of Transitions lenses.

ECPs can apply through Nov. 15, 2026, and selected applicants will be notified in December and will serve as Change Agents throughout the 2027 calendar year.

Professional Engagement Opportunities

Established in 2016, the program connects professionals who share perspectives on eye health, innovation, technology, and eyewear style.

Change Agents will also help educate peers, industry professionals, and patients about Transitions portfolio of light-responsive lenses, which adapt to changing lighting conditions. Opportunities may include a variety of professional activities, such as social media initiatives, focus groups, speaking engagements, interviews, and other thought leadership opportunities. Participants may also receive access to product trials, technology testing, and feedback sessions, providing chances to contribute perspectives on Transitions products and programming.

“Since 2016, the Transitions Change Agent program has brought together eyecare professionals who are passionate about advancing patient care and sharing their expertise,” says Arlene Barringer, trade marketing director, Transitions Optical. “We’re looking for professionals ready to bring their perspectives to a dynamic peer community and help shape Transitions programming and conversations across the industry. As a Change Agent, you can grow your professional influence and network while helping shape the future of dynamic lenses.”

How to Apply

Applicants must complete an online application explaining why they want to become a Transitions Change Agent and what they hope to accomplish through the program. The application also requests links to candidates’ social media profiles along with responses to additional questions.

Transitions says the program provides opportunities for participants to expand their professional networks, share knowledge with colleagues, and contribute feedback on developments in dynamic lenses.
