Oakley has announced the upcoming release of Infiniloop, an innovative, new eyewear design scheduled to launch July 14 on Oakley.com and at select Oakley stores.
The frame is built around a single continuous-line design concept intended to “carry the lens across the face with a reduced number of frame lines.” According to Oakley, the design uses negative space to expose the outer edges of the lenses and create the appearance that the lenses are floating within the frame.
Frame Design
Infiniloop features a dual-material construction. The upper frame line uses titanium, while the lower frame line uses Oakley’s proprietary O-Matter. The two frame lines meet at limited intersection points, creating an open structure around the lenses.
The frame will be available in limited quantities in Polished Chrome and Matte Black with Prizm Black lenses.
Future Genesis Tie-In
Infiniloop is also connected to Future Genesis, Oakley’s multimedia storytelling platform built around a futuristic brand universe. The Infiniloop launch will be accompanied by a collector’s set of comic books from Future Genesis Chapter 2.
According to Oakley, the chapter continues the story of Maxine Fearlight, a character within the Future Genesis universe.
