The Optical Women’s Association (OWA) will host its fourth annual OWA Unplugged Retreat on Oct. 23-25 at The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas, in Irving, Texas, located 15 minutes from the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
Built around the theme “Reconnect. Renew. Rise. A Weekend to Be Fully Present,” the members-only retreat is designed to provide time for networking, reflection, learning, as well as personal and professional development.
OWA says the Unplugged program intentionally brings together a small group of attendees to encourage conversations and relationship-building among members. Previous retreats have sold out, and registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Programming Focuses on Connection
The retreat is open to both first-time attendees and returning participants, with programming centered on giving members opportunities to step away from their usual routines and connect with other women in the optical industry.
Programming throughout the weekend will include Fireside Chats, OWA Reads, speakers, and other group activities. According to OWA, the sessions aim to encourage reflection, introduce new perspectives, and provide ideas attendees can apply personally and professionally.
Resort and Booking Details
The event will begin at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, and conclude at 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 25 at the Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas. All attendees must stay at the resort, which is located on 400 acres in Irving.
Registration for the fourth annual OWA Unplugged Retreat closes Thursday, Oct. 1. Rooms cost $329 per person, per night, plus taxes and fees, and registered attendees will receive a hotel booking link.
