Euclid Vision Corporation has announced that Be Free Day toric lenses received U.S. FDA clearance. The company says they are expected to be available in the United States in fall 2026.
According to the company, Be Free Day (Toufilcon B) Daily Disposable Soft (Hydrophilic) contact lenses with multifocal toric designs are cleared for daily wear for the correction of refractive ametropia (myopia and hyperopia) and/or presbyopia. The lenses are for aphakic and/or non-aphakic patients with non-diseased eyes in powers from +6.00 to −12.25 diopters and with non-diseased eyes who may require a reading addition of +0.25D to +3.00D and have −3.50 diopters of astigmatism or less.
Technology Behind the Lens
The Be Free Day toric lens is built with technology from the Brien Holden Vision Institute (BHVI). The new multifocal-toric option combines the optical design and properties of Be Free Day spherical lenses with toric correction for patients with astigmatism.
The new lens adds a daily disposable multifocal-toric option for patients with myopia and astigmatism. According to 2026 Market Scope data, clinically significant astigmatism affects approximately 25% of patients with myopia. This makes toric correction a common fitting need for patients who require both myopia management and astigmatic correction.
