Lumenis has announced its 2026 Accelerate education series, a nationwide peer-to-peer program. According to the company, the Accelerate program is designed to help eye care professionals expand procedural services, strengthen clinical confidence, and integrate advanced therapeutic technologies into practice workflows.

After kicking off in Orlando, the 2026 series continues with upcoming events in New York City on May 15–16. Events in Newport Beach, Calif., on June 5–6, and Chicago on Aug. 28–30 will follow. Lumenis says additional dates and locations will be announced later this year.

About the Program

The Accelerate program is a clinician-led educational program featuring facilitated breakout discussions, interactive demonstrations, and learning based on real-world cases. Topics will focus on integrating in-office procedures, improving the patient experience, optimizing operational workflows, and building specialty service lines within practices.

Educational sessions will feature perspectives from practitioners, including Celesta Ferreira, OD, and Inna Lazar, OD. Attendees can also participate in networking opportunities during hosted meals, breakout sessions, and cocktail receptions.

Focus on Technologies

The series includes hands-on training and discussions centered on several Lumenis technologies used in ocular surface and aesthetic care, including:

  • OptiLIGHT, the only FDA-approved intense pulsed light device for dry eye management, is designed to address dry eye disease associated with meibomian gland dysfunction.
  • OptiPLUS combines dual-frequency radiofrequency (RF) technology intended to support skin rejuvenation and ocular surface treatment workflows.
  • OptiLIFT uses Dynamic Muscle Stimulation Technology for a nonsurgical treatment to address lower eyelid laxity and impaired blinking.

“Many eye care professionals are actively looking for ways to diversify revenue, reduce reliance on traditional reimbursement, and meet patient expectations for advanced in-office care,” said Stacey Winter, president, North America, Lumenis. “Accelerate creates a forum where clinicians can learn directly from peers who have successfully integrated advanced technologies into everyday practice. As Lumenis celebrates 60 years of innovation, our role extends beyond developing devices—we are a partner in supporting eye care professionals in building, growing, and sustaining modern practices.”
