The Optical Foundry has introduced the Article One collection for spring/summer 2026. All frames are handmade in Japan and feature the brand’s commitment to elevated craftsmanship. The company says the new styles are an expansion of its evolving vision of modern American eyewear, offering performance-driven luxury designed for people who are constantly in motion.

About the Collection

The launch consists of 15 new optical and sunwear styles that offer clean, architectural forms and subtle technical detailing. With sculptural acetate and metal designs, these frames avoid excessive branding and an overt sport aesthetic, giving wearers easy-to-wear, classic silhouettes. Other design details include lightweight and durable materials, adjustable grip-fit nose pad systems, interior temple-grip accents, integrated spring hinge systems, and custom fit architecture.

Each frame offers a grounded neutral color palette with muted industrial finishes, translucent mineral tones, and layered acetate constructions that are all inspired by natural movement, materials, and light.

Article One’s new TR-18 Tritan sun lens platform is a standout feature for the sunglass models. This next-generation BPA-free copolyester lens material offers impact resistance, structural stability, and optical clarity, according to The Optical Foundry.

These new frames focus on original style, timeless relevance, and modern longevity without adhering to trends or nostalgia. Read on to learn more about some of the key styles from the new Article One Spring/Summer 2026 collection.
