Wiley X expanded its 2026 eyewear lineup with the introduction of the WX Alpine and WX Citadel. These performance-driven frames are designed for high-intensity outdoor environments and tactical use. Available online and through select retailers, both models are engineered to meet ANSI Z87.1+ impact protection standards, with select styles meeting MIL-PRF-32432A ballistic impact standards.
Both styles feature rubber nose pads and temple tips for a secure fit while moving. In addition, each model offers 100% UVA/UVB protection and is available with Wiley X’s CAPTIVATE lens technology design to offer enhanced contrast, color, and clarity across varying light conditions.
Founded in 1987, Wiley X produces protective eyewear for various markets that rely on impact resistance.

WX Alpine
The WX Alpine is designed for high-risk tactical environments while also supporting those participating in other outdoor hobbies such as hunting and fishing. The frame features a high-wrap design with 8-base, extra-thick 2.5mm shatterproof lenses tested to deliver military-grade resistance against high-velocity impacts. Constructed from Triloid nylon, the lightweight frame also incorporates integrated Venturi channels to promote airflow and reduce fogging.
WX Citadel
While maintaining tactical performance capabilities, the WX Citadel offers an outdoor-forward frame intended for activities such as running, biking, skiing, and mountaineering. Its toric lens design follows the natural curvature of the eye to support distortion-free optics, and interchangeable lenses allow users to adapt to varying light conditions. Low-profile temples ensure compatibility with helmets and ear protection, and both removable and permanent side shields are included for customizable coverage.
