HOYA Vision Care launched HOYA LensPreview, a virtual try-on tool designed to help eye care professionals and patients preview lens options before purchase in the United States and Canada. The solution integrates directly into the HOYA Hub platform, which provides access to order tracking, invoicing, payments, shipping labels, and other practice management tools.

HOYA LensPreview supports several premium lenses, including photochromic, polarized, and mirror lenses. Among the offerings available are HOYA’s Sensity Family, Mirror Collection, and Lumacore.

Simulation Appearance and Performance

The company says the tool allows patients to view lenses in a true-to-color environment, aiming to improve their understanding of lens appearance and performance during the selection process. This addresses common challenges associated with demonstrating specialty lenses in-office.

HOYA LensPreview uses visualization technology from Fittingbox, which specializes in virtual try-on solutions. “By integrating the Fittingbox Virtual Try-On Advanced solution directly into the HOYA Hub ecosystem, HOYA is offering an immersive lens simulation that elevates lens selection,” says Benjamin Hakoun, CEO and co-founder of Fittingbox.

Practice and Patient Benefits

By providing a digital alternative to physical samples, the company says practices can reduce storage and shipping requirements while giving patients a clearer view of how lenses will appear once dispensed. The company also noted that previewing lenses prior to ordering may help manage patient expectations and support conversations around multiple-pair purchases, including sun and specialty lenses.

LensPreview is available at no cost to HOYA Hub customers via Single Sign-On. Eye care professionals who are not part of the platform can contact their local HOYA business consultant to request access.

“We’re thrilled to introduce HOYA LensPreview as part of our commitment to innovation,” says Samy Lauriette, vice president of strategic marketing, North America at HOYA Vision Care. “This tool enhances the patient experience and helps practices boost second-pair and sun lens sales while eliminating the need for physical samples.”
