ClearVision Optical has introduced Dilli Dalli Virtual Try-On (VTO). This digital tool designed specifically for children’s faces allows families to preview eyewear styles and fit before visiting an eye care professional.
ClearVision describes the platform as the first virtual try-on developed exclusively for children. The company says the technology is designed to address potential limitations of tools designed primarily for adult facial proportions.
Supporting Frame Selection
By using multiple methods of detecting pupillary distance, Dilli Dalli VTO allows families to explore the brand’s full collection from home before appointments and help guide frame selection. The platform is designed to help families narrow their choices, potentially reducing the time needed to select frames in the dispensary.
Also, rather than offering direct online purchases, the platform directs users to a retail locator to find optical practices that carry Dilli Dalli eyewear.
Plus, ECPs can also use the tool during appointments to show patients additional frame styles and colors beyond those physically available in their inventory.
“In speaking to ECPs and listening to parents, trying product in-store could be streamlined and parents would often post to community groups pictures of their kids to ask others for advice on the fit,” says Steve Tripi, head of marketing and creative services at ClearVision Optical. “We knew VTO could help here. In addition, we thought there could also be a way to allow parents to ‘try-on’ more products then might be available in store and still allow the ECP to capture the sale vs the parent shopping elsewhere or online.”
Integrating With Practice Websites
The company adds that the tool can help practices expand the selection available to patients without stocking every frame variation, which can support in-office purchases and improve capture rates.
ClearVision offers ECPs a Dilli Dalli VTO button that can be added to their practice websites, allowing families to browse frames before visiting. The company supplies the button and link, allowing practices to introduce eyewear to patients ahead of appointments.
