CooperVision has promoted Dr. Jennifer Palombi to director of professional affairs, Americas, and Dr. Felicia Timmermann to senior advisor, myopia management, U.S.

The company says the appointments reflect its continued investment in its professional affairs organization and its focus on providing eye care professionals with products, clinical education, insights, and resources to support patient care.

“Dr. Palombi and Dr. Timmermann bring a depth and breadth of experience and a shared passion for helping practitioners grow their practices while providing exceptional care for their patients,” says Steven Robins, president, Americas.

Professional Affairs Leadership

In her new role, Dr. Palombi’s responsibilities will include unifying activities across CooperVision’s product portfolio, including professional education and development, industry relations, legislative advocacy, key customer engagement, and academic affairs.

Dr. Palombi joined CooperVision in 2017 and has held leadership responsibilities in clinical education and communication. Before joining the company, she practiced optometry for 20 years in several settings, including corporate, hospital-based, private, and collaborative optometry-ophthalmology practices. She also served as a freelance medical writer.

“We look forward to what is to come under Dr. Palombi’s leadership as we continue to enhance programs, strengthen engagement with our customers, and explore new ways to support them through the evolution of eye care,” says Robins.

Myopia Management Focus

Dr. Timmermann has devoted much of her career to myopia management and pediatric health. After earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry, she completed specialized residency training in pediatric optometry at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Before joining CooperVision in 2022, Dr. Timmermann held leadership roles in academia, including establishing and directing Nova Southeastern University’s myopia management service.

“Her expertise, clinical perspective, and dedication to improving outcomes for children make her an invaluable partner to practitioners and their teams,” says Dr. Palombi. “There is no one better positioned to work alongside practitioners, patients, and families as we continue advancing the fight against childhood myopia.”
