VSP Vision named Nicola Zotta president of Eyewear and managing director of Marchon Eyewear and Marcolin. Zotta will lead the integration of the two organizations following VSP Vision’s recent acquisition.
“Nicola brings a unique blend of Italian heritage and U.S. leadership experience, a proven ability to deliver growth, and an understanding of our commitment to our stakeholders,” said Michael Guyette, president and CEO of VSP Vision. “As we move into this exciting new chapter of our eyewear business, we are confident in Nicola’s leadership and vision to serve our customers with the very best that Marchon and Marcolin can uniquely provide together.”
Return to VSP Vision
Zotta returns to VSP Vision after serving as CEO of Artsana Group since 2022. Previously, Zotta served as president of Marchon from 2016 to 2022. He first joined VSP in 2009 as vice president and managing director of EMEA and APAC. Earlier in his career, Zotta held senior leadership roles at Safilo for more than a decade
“It is an honor to lead two truly world-class eyewear organizations whose combined strengths create an exceptional portfolio of luxury, lifestyle, and performance brands,” Zotta said.
Leadership Transition
Zotta succeeds Fabrizio Curci, who has stepped down after serving as CEO and general manager of Marcolin since June 2020. Curci will serve in an advisory role during the transition.
“Under Fabrizio’s leadership, Marcolin accelerated its growth through strategic brand portfolio expansion, operational efficiency enhancements, and a focus on commercial excellence,” Guyette said. “We are grateful for his many contributions and look forward to building on the momentum established during his tenure.”
Additionally, Thomas Burkhardt, who has served as president of Marchon since 2022, will step down from his role. Burkhardt will continue as an advisor to Zotta, with a focus on integrating the Marchon and Marcolin brand portfolios.
