Selima Optique recently announced Le Petit Musée de Lunettes, a vintage eyewear museum and retail experience that will be unveiled at EYECON 2026. Curated by celebrated edCFDA eyewear designer and innovative eyewear retailer Selima Salaun, the installation will be open throughout EYECON, which takes place March 6-8 at The Glasshouse NYC.
A Celebration of Eyewear Heritage
The exhibition will feature rare vintage frames collected by Salaun over decades of her career, including pieces from iconic maisons, niche independent designers, and fashion-history treasures. Each selection will reflect a moment in design history. Attendees can explore the evolution of style through eyewear, including how silhouettes, materials, and cultural moments have shaped the way the world sees and is seen.
“Le Petit Musée de Lunettes is my personal love letter to eyewear,” Salaun said. “Each frame carries a memory of a moment, a place, or a person who inspired me. Sharing them at EYECON feels like inviting the industry into the world that shaped my vision.”
For the first time, a curated portion of Salaun’s private archive will be available for purchase outside her boutiques. Attendees will also discover new pieces from the current Selima Optique collection and collaborations with costume designer and creative director June Ambrose, fashion icon Iris Apfel, and more.
“Selima’s archive is unlike anything in our industry,” said EYECON founder Tarrence Lackran. “This installation blends heritage, inspiration, and commerce in a way only Selima can; celebrating the soul of eyewear while giving attendees a truly unique shopping and storytelling experience.”
