LensCrafters has announced the launch of the first LensCrafters Vision & Eye Health Center, located in Exton, Pa. This new model combines comprehensive eye care, surgical solutions, advanced diagnostics, and vision technology in one location—a new step in the brand’s growth strategy.
LensCrafters, part of EssilorLuxottica, says the center is designed to support care across early detection, diagnostics, treatment, and ongoing monitoring. According to the company, these efforts “signal a strategic shift from traditional refraction to comprehensive, technology-enabled eye health solutions, transforming the brand’s locations into a dynamic platform for innovation, integration, and clinical excellence.”
In addition to premium vision solutions and lens innovation, the company says the center is part of a broader strategy that includes wearable technology, myopia management, over-the-counter hearing solutions, medical services, surgical procedures, and advanced diagnostics.
Surgical and Clinical Services
The LensCrafters Vision & Eye Health Center will offer comprehensive eye health evaluations and vision-correcting procedures for conditions including vision correction needs, cataracts, and glaucoma. Treatment options include implantable collamer lenses, refractive lens exchange, laser vision correction procedures such as LASIK, PRK, and SMILE PRO, as well as standard and laser-assisted cataract surgery.
Surgical leadership at the center is headed by Dr. Bruce Rivers, a military-trained independent ophthalmologist with expertise in cataract and laser vision correction surgery.
Technology and Wearables
LensCrafters says wearable innovation, including Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta, are central to its expanded model. These smart eyewear products provide wearers with access to real-time information, social experiences, and AI-enabled functionality.
Another example, Nuance Audio, is a hearing loss solution embedded within frames for adults with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss.
Looking to the Future
Alfonso Cerullo, president of LensCrafters and For Eyes, says the center marks a new era for the company. “For decades, we’ve been a trusted leader and a point of reference in the optical retail industry. Today, our mission is to holistically bring to life the EssilorLuxottica Med-Tech strategy through an enhanced patient journey that leverages the best of EssilorLuxottica’s value proposition, including advanced medical technologies and surgical solutions that elevate vision care into a more intelligent, integrated and personalized experience.”
“Our mission is to bring advanced eye care and surgical services together under one roof with exceptional outcomes and a compassionate patient experience,” adds Dr. Clark Chang, senior director of medical and surgical operations, EssilorLuxottica.
